CPR/AED & First Aid

Central Ohio Safety provides training using a number of different programs to best serve the needs of our students. Our instructors are certified to provide training through the following organizations:



















  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care & Professional Rescuers
  • Healthcare Provider CPR and AED
  • CPR and AED
Course Content:
This CPR and AED program teaches the principles of basic life support for adults, children, and infants. Provides the latest guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiac care, starting with how to assess the scene of an emergency and take stock of the victim's condition. The course details how to perform one-rescuer CPR and rescue breathing, and how to manage choking in a conscious person. It also addresses infection control.

The AED portion of the program details key operating characteristics and shows you proper precautions and maintenance techniques. It explains how AEDs work and why they're a critical part of emergency cardiac care. It also includes guidelines for meeting the state Public Access De-fibrillation (PAD) laws, and outlines the need for medical direction.

Target audience: Emergency response teams, safety personnel, supervisors, fire, police ambulance, health care providers, athletic trainer, airline employees, life guards.

  • Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens
Course Content:
The Bloodborne Pathogens and Airborne course meets the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and is your tool for training employees or members of the general public who may come in contact with infectious materials as part of their jobs.
